Online Dental Assistant Course FAQ`s

Learn what it takes to enroll in our program, job placement and more.

How much does the dental assisting program cost?

Dr. Fulcher was the first person in his family to go to college and he believes that everyone should have the ability to further their education, no matter what their financial situation may be. This is why we like to keep our course cost affordable for everyone. We have two convenient payment options, depending on your needs.

  • A one-time, pay-in-full option of $500 (Afterpay & Klarna now available)
  • Two monthly payments of $325

What will I learn in the online course?

Our course covers the day-to-day functions and duties of being a dental assistant. You will learn from lecture videos featuring Dr. Fulcher and other highly experienced clinical instructors. Along with the lectures, there are supplemental videos of techniques and actual procedures such as sterilization, room set-up, taking x-rays, fillings, extractions, crowns, and more. You will also receive training on how to use Dentrix, the nation’s #1 dental software. By having online lectures, you can pause, rewind, and even rewatch lectures as needed.

What is the course curriculum like?

Our online course is divided into 12 lectures, with each lecture consisting of video training, assigned textbook readings, a study guide, and a quiz. There are two exams: a midterm exam and a final exam. All assessments (both quizzes and exams) must be completed with a grade of 70% or higher. However, we offer unlimited reattempts on our assessments because we want you to succeed! All course content must be completed with a passing grade to complete the course.

Are there any other costs besides the course cost?

We give you 6 months access to complete our course. Most students finish in 90 days, giving you plenty of time to complete the course at your pace. There are two convenient payment options, depending on your needs.

Can I receive hands-on experience and training?

Yes! While you are taking the online course, we highly recommend you complete 40 hours of a clinical experience externship to apply what you have learned from the course (though the externship is optional, not required). A clinical externship bridges the gap between the online coursework and working as a dental assistant. This externship can be completed at one of our dental office locations (located in Arizona), or at a dental office near you, per the dental office’s approval.

How long does it take to finish the course?

Most of our students finish the program in 90 days, however, we provide you 6 months of unlimited access! The curriculum is completely self-paced and individualized to what is best for you. We designed the course with you in mind – it’s flexible and able to meet YOUR needs. If you find you need extra time to complete the course, reach out to info@90dayda.com and we can assist you with extending your access for an additional fee.

What do I receive after I finish the course?

After all online coursework has been successfully completed and passed, you will receive a PDF certificate of completion, recognizing your efforts in passing the course. This certificate can be presented to future employers as you are seeking work. If you would like a physical certificate mailed to you as well, you can purchase one for $50 by emailing info@90dayda.com.

What is the job placement like?

Dental assistants are currently in high demand and are essential to the dental field! Although we cannot guarantee employment, our students have secured employment easily and quickly.
